How hard is playing goalie in lacrosse?
I have played catcher in baseball for the past 5 years. I want to play lacrosse this year. How hard will it be for me to learn goalie? What are the biggest differences? Any tips?
I'm 17 and a junior in high school
How old are you? The younger you are, the easier it is to pick up on because the guys you're playing against won't be as good. I played for 2 years before I picked up the goalie stick when I was a freshman in college. It's by far the most fun position but you have to be ready to be in a lot of pain. No matter how much padding you buy, it's gonna hurt... a lot. If you want to try it, I say go for it. Lacrosse is great and playing goalie is a lot of fun once you get used to the bruises and broken thumbs.
